John Scully, Chief Technology Officer, CTO
John
brings to ISI years of computer science and marketing expertise from
starting and running a successful ISP business. His knowledge and
expertise will keep ISI at the forefront of emerging developments in
computer science and consumer applications of those technologies.
John
Scully graduated from the Ohio State School of Engineering with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with minors in civil and
electrical engineering in 1984.
John has 20 years of
experience in Unix and Linux administration, Database design and
management, application programming – including design and
implementation of a point of sale system, distribution management
system and AR/AP platform for a nationwide chain of computer stores. He
also designed and managed a nationwide voice and data network that
included running voice over data as early as 1991, a decade before
Voice Over IP became a household word. He has designed and constructed
more than 20 data centers and several 1,000-seat call centers for
technical support and customer service.
Stephan West, Chief Exective Officer, CEO
Stephan
West brings to ISI a proven track record in growing a business and
developing overall business strategies that translate into revenue.
During
his tenure as CEO of ISI, ISI has enjoyed triple digit (percentage)
growth each year, and watched its overall gross margin double, standing
today at almost 45% of gross revenue. During this time, Stephan
renegotiated every single vendor contract ISI held and entered into
select, new, vendor contracts that increased ISI Dial up coverage,
increased margin on existing traffic and maximized ISI’s overall
position and competitiveness in its marketplace. ISI expanded offices 2
times while Stephan was COO, the last to its current location of the
top floor (Suite 1000) of 33 North High St, Columbus, Ohio, and tripled
its staffing. Stephan was also instrumental in key new client
negotiations along with ISI sales staff and would often times assist in
the final negotiations to signing.
Prior to being one
of the founders of ISI, Stephan served as the CTO of Symbiosis, Inc., a
small specialized electronic marketing company based in Newark, Ohio.
Symbiosis served a defined market of Medical and Veterinarian companies
with the creation and implementation of IP / Internet based marketing,
announcements and communications with their respective client bases.
While serving as CTO, he was responsible for the IT platform along with
new software evaluation and implementation. Stephan was a partner in
Symbiosis and served its CTO for a period of 1 year.
Mr.
West started his IT career by creating his own dial up internet service
provider (ISP), SurfOhio Networks, Inc. SurfOhio was formed in late
1998 and went live in the 1999. SurfOhio managed its modem pool and
server array in downtown Columbus, Ohio and served the entire Central
Ohio community for 3 years.
Scott M. Grim, Director of Network Engineering
Scott
brings to ISI his proven expertise in network engineering that will
allow ISIPI to grow rapidly while maintaining top quality service to
its clients.
While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in
Electronics Engineering Technology at DeVry Institute, Scott built a
consulting company that specialized in network design and custom
application development for robotics control systems. The firm served
clients in Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Florida, New York and Oregon
developing applications from simple robotics controls in Assembler to
sophisticated production management systems in Pascal and C. The
company was dissolved and the client contracts handed over to some of
the independent contractors who worked with the firm.
In
1994, Scott joined a small growing telecommunications company as a networking
engineer. He was responsible for installation, configuration and
maintenance of a 2000 port PBX/ACD system and the company's LAN that,
at the time, handled a 60-seat call center and the associated
administrative offices. He also wrote custom call accounting and
employee management software to streamline the company's operations.
This company eventually grew to become Calltech Communications that is
now made up of over 3200 employees in 7 call centers across 6 states.
In 2001, Scott left Calltech Communications to form the partnership that is now iSupportISP, LLC.
