Who We Are (not)
Who we are is defined not by what we say, but by what we do...and do not do. So let's start with that.
We
do not outsource work overseas.
Our call center and technical services are in Columbus, Ohio. We pride
ourselves on providing top quality customer service and technical
support at low cost by using well trained staff and excellent knowledge
base tools instead of using cheap labor. You get what you pay for.
We
do not consider the minimum wage to be a living wage.
At this time our
lowest paid, hourly employee makes $9.50 per hour. We pay well and
demand a lot from our people.
We do not
use contract language to put our clients/partners in handcuffs.
Many of
our competitors in the private label industry have extremely punitive
language in their contracts. Some are virtually poison pill clauses
that apply retroactive price increases if the client attempts to cancel
before the contract term expires. Our contracts have no punitive
clauses or confusing language. So how do we keep our clients? By
offering quality service at competitive prices and offering options not
available from anyone else.
We do not sell service below cost.
That may sound like a
silly thing to say, but today there are many companies whose business
plans can be summed up as "Lose money on
every sale to quickly build market share, then go public or sell out to
someone else." That is a great plan if all you care about is your final
payday, and you are willing to leave your customers, partners and
employees blowing in the wind. We are a privately held company and we
make money by selling quality service at competitive prices while
making a profit on every subscriber, both for ourselves and our
clients. Wow! What a concept! Treat your customers well, offer high
quality service and make a small but real margin.
